The PCA's 2025-2027 Strategy
The PCA is pleased to publish our new strategy for 2025-2027. This builds on the key achievements of our first strategy (2022-2025) which established a clear foundation for fair and effective regulation, better support for tied pub tenants and providing an efficient arbitration service. In recent years, we have strengthened relationships across the sector and made it easier for people to engage with us. This includes tenant familiarity with rights in different areas of the Pubs Code which has improved sharply year on year.
Our new strategic priorities of effective regulation, exploring innovation and streamlining delivery set out to further the core principles that the Pubs Code is intended to deliver - of fair and lawful dealing for tied pub tenants, who should be no worse off than if they were free of tie.
The new strategy has been developed in consultation with industry stakeholders and takes into account changing technologies and the challenging business environment in which pubs are currently operating. The strategy aims to provide flexibility and enable the PCA to continue to respond effectively to change.
We thank all those who provided feedback to help shape our strategy and look forward to continuing to work with stakeholders across the industry to deliver positive outcomes for tied pub tenants in line with core Pubs Code principles.
